Hi, I'm Angela Thomas. I trained for four years here in Christchurch at the New Zealand College of Chinese Medicine. I am a member of Acupuncture NZ (formerly NZRA) and I'm an ACC treatment provider. I also served on the Council of Acupuncture NZ as their South Island representative from 2011 to 2016.

People tell me my warm and friendly presence helps make them feel at ease, and that my calm, reassuring manner relaxes tensions and enables them to benefit from the treatment they receive. I love hearing good jokes and I'm happy to share!

Originally from England, I have lived in Christchurch since 2003 with my family. In addition to the thousands of earthquakes and having been evacuated from home because of the Port Hills fires, we also experienced the shock and trauma of the terror attacks on the mosques. I have a deep understanding of the impact that these events have had on us all. I am particularly happy to treat people who are still experiencing stress as a result of what happened. The ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic also causes concern and anxiety, particularly for those of us who have lost friends or family members in New Zealand and overseas. I know that acupuncture treatments have helped people to process their grief and loss, so please contact me if you would like a gentle, supportive treatment.
