Mentorship at MoveWell

As we embark on a teaching practice questions start to arise & our own intentions for teaching develop. Teaching is an art, and a science that may not always be well supported in yoga teacher trainings or workshops. We may also develop certain habits if we’ve been teaching for a while that may inhibit further growth & development.

Whether you are:

• seeking guidance about how to develop your personal practice

• wanting to explore the links between yoga practice and teaching

• trying to idenfity and guide your direction as a teacher

• keen to learn more about being a professional educator

• looking to develop class and/or course planning skills

MoveWell’s yoga therapist Dr Jane Hardcastle has worked in the field of professional education for more than 20 years; in healthcare, postgraduate nursing, academic supervision, clinical practice development and post basic yoga teacher education. Jane loves to help teachers and practitioners develop their own style and art in teaching practice and foster the professional skills required to be a trusted educator.

Mentorship Options

• One to one sessions - tailored to your needs and expectations

• Small group sessions - suitable for 2-3 teachers with similar needs (friends, colleagues, associates).

• Small group workshops - a more generic approach to sharing professional development gems and collegial discussion. Read more here and on our social media channels as worskhops are scheduled.

• MoveWell currently runs an internship programme for experienced teachers to learn the practice of therapeutic yoga. The programme involves monthly group learning sessions and one to one guidance as teachers learn to apply therapeutic concepts in their class teaching and personal practice.

  Interns are required to controbute to teaching at MoveWell as a component of the programme and must be qualifed yoga teachers to be considered. If this sounds like you, please contact us to discuss further (places are limited).

FEES

• Individual mentorship sessions are charged at $100 / 60 mins & include follow up corrrespondence (email, phone call, messaging as appropriate)

  90 & 120 min sessions also available at reduced rates

• Small group mentorship sessions $250 / 90 mins up to 3 teachers - structured according to the needs of each group

• Professional development workshops offered by MoveWell cost variable according to workshop length & offerings
